(Balou Phin)

Imported in 2014, Balou Phin is a product of the very successful UK based breeding program of Weston Warmbloods. “Dixie” is a gorgeous mare with very correct conformation who, prior to import, won the 4yr old free jump championships at Arlington, UK.  In addition to the scope and talent for upper level jumpers, she has excelled in the hunter ring earning championships in the Pre Green Hunters at the AA shows on the west coast.  Truly a multi-talented mare, we expect her to gift us with equally talented babies who will be able to excel in the top level of either hunter or jumper ring. 

 

Her sire, Zip Phin, a winner of international 1.40 classes is rapidly growing a reputation in the UK as a sire passing down athleticism, beauty, and rideability to his offspring. His oldest crop include Blue Chip Discovery Champion Nina Phin and CSI young horse 1.40 winner 7yr old Zipiro with Ben Bick.

Her dam sire is none other than Balou du Ruet, who gifts his offspring style, scope and willingness. There was no stopping Balou du Rouet on his way into the ´elite club of the lifetime earning millionaires`.  At only 15 years, he has achieved what no other stallion has achieved in terms of the Euro! So far 150 of Balou´s progeny are successful at advanced level/S level: the lifetime earnings of his descendants have already reached 1.294.478 Euros. 41 of his sons are licensed, amongst them the internationally successful stallions Horse Gym‘s Balzaci/Felix Haßmann (16 wins at advanced level/S level, internationally in Leipzig, Neumünster and Poznan/POL), Burberry/Jan Sprehe and Balloon with Shane Breen for the Irish Nation Cup Team at the CHIO Aachen. Other top horses sired by Balou include First Class van Eeckelghem/Daniel Deußer and Bacardi 169/Marc Bettinger.
